Overview:

The course provides an overview on Seaglider (an autonomous underwater vehicle, used to measure various oceanographic parameters along a desired track) fundamentals, piloting, data quality control and interpretation.

Aims and Objectives

  • To provide an introduction and overview of Seaglider fundamentals and data analysis

Learning Outcomes

  • Experiment design using Seaglider
  • Seaglider data QC and analysis
  • Interpretation of Seaglider data

Target Audience

  • Those who are experienced in Seaglider data analysis
  • Those who have long experience with ocean instrumentation/data analysis

Course pre-requisites:

Candidates should have a working knowledge of ocean instrumentation, ocean data analysis from in-situ platforms and preliminary knowledge in seaglider. Working knowledge of English

Course Fee and Financial support:

There is no course fee charged for the training course. The participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements. Accommodation will be provided at the Hostel inside the INCOIS campus for selected candidates.
