during 21 - 22 February, 2022
Organized by
International Training Centre for Operational Oceanography (ITCOocean) ESSO-INCOIS, Hyderabad, India

This training to ISBA trainees is an online PMN Training Programme being undertaken under the aegis of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India from 17 Jan to 04 Mar 2022. The training would be conducted by the specialized training Institutes in Oceanography, Ocean Technology and Metallurgy of which INCOIS will provide the training during 21 - 22nd Feb, 2022.

As a part of this PMN training, all the trainees will be provided an exposure on products and services being generated and disseminated to the end users. This will be helpful to the trainees, who are going to be working in these areas of research.

INCOIS, being the central repository for marine data in the country, receives voluminous oceanographic data in real time, from a variety of in-situ and remote sensing observing systems. INCOIS has been designated as the National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC) by the International Oceanographic Data Exchange Program (IODE) of International Oceanographic Commission (IOC). This training also focuses on brining awareness about the data holding from various instruments archived at INCOIS and utilization of data for various scientific applications.
