World Tsunami Awareness Day - 2018

INCOIS hosted a special Open House attended by over 760 students including interactive sessions at the Tsunami Centre,Students Science Model Exhibition and Special Guest Lecture by Prof.C.P.rajendran JNCASR on the occasion of World Tsunami Awareness Day 2018 Indian Ocean Tsunami Information Center Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission Ministry of Earth Sciences Government of Inndia.

Prof.C.P.Rajendran's lecture on "Science of Tsunamis" was attended by both Students and Scientists. He discussed geologic evidence in Andaman & Nicobar for major tsunamis in 15^th,10^th,14^th centuries CE and six pre-1960 tsunami events over the past 2000 yrs.
