PhD thesis titled:-Observed intra-seasonal and inter-annual variability of Sea Surface Temperature South of the India-Sri Lanka Channel
in Marine Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India

2001-2003
MSc. Meteorology
Cochin University of Science and Technology
Kerala, India,

Research Interests I am focusing on mesoscale processes to small-scale turbulent mixing in the north Indian Ocean. Presently, my main working areas include the investigation of small-scale mixing processes using a vertical microstructure profiler to understand the relative importance of internal-wave mixing and double diffusion instability in the thermocline and ocean surface boundary layer mixing in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. In addition, I am also working on atmosphere-ocean interaction processes in various time scales: sub-daily (land breeze system), intraseasonal (MISO and MJO), and interannual (IOD, ENSO, and AZM) in the tropical Indian Ocean. I also collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to understand how small-scale physical processes affect biogeochemical parameters.
