PhD thesis titled:-Observed intra-seasonal and inter-annual variability of Sea Surface Temperature South of the India-Sri Lanka Channel
in Marine Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India

2001-2003
MSc. Meteorology
Cochin University of Science and Technology
Kerala, India,

Research Interests My research centers on mesoscale to small-scale turbulent mixing processes in the North Indian Ocean, with a particular emphasis on the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. My current work involves utilizing a vertical microstructure profiler to investigate small-scale mixing processes. This includes examining the relative significance of internal-wave mixing and double diffusion instability within the thermocline, as well as understanding ocean surface boundary layer mixing.
Additionally, I explore atmosphere-ocean interactions across multiple timescales, ranging from sub-daily phenomena (such as the land breeze system) to intraseasonal patterns (including MISO and MJO), and interannual variability (such as IOD, ENSO, and AZM) within the tropical Indian Ocean. My interdisciplinary collaborations aim to elucidate the impact of these small-scale physical processes on biogeochemical cycles, contributing to a deeper understanding of the complex interactions within oceanic systems.
