"Fundamentals of Remote Sensing & its Oceanographic Applications"
during 05 - 09 September, 2022
Organized by
International Training Centre for Operational Oceanography (ITCOocean) ESSO-INCOIS, Hyderabad, India

Overview:

Remote sensing helps to observe and measure Earth's (ocean, atmosphere, and land) resources. This course focuses on how sensors capture Earth information and how the atmosphere affects the data and how to correct it; how to quantify the ocean parameters with appropriate algorithms & illustrates various oceanographic applications. At the end of the course, participants will gain knowledge with exercises to apply learning technics and how to derive meaningful results.

Aims and Objectives:

  • Fundamental principles of remote sensing.
  • About various satellites and sensors.
  • Ocean Colour Remote Sensing & its applications.
  • Thermal remote sensing & its applications.
