Get out of the water safely
- Move slowly and calmly to prevent more stings.
- Do not panic.

Do not rub the affected area
- Rubbing spreads the venom.

Remove tentacles
- Use a stick, tweezers, or gloved hands.
- Do not touch tentacles with bare hands.

Rinse the area
- Rinse the sting site with seawater, NOT fresh water.
- If vinegar (5% acetic acid) is available, pour it gently over the sting.
- If vinegar is not available, keep rinsing with seawater.

Relieve pain
- Immerse the sting area in hot water (40–45°C) for 20–45 minutes.
- If hot water is unavailable, use a heat pack.

Seek medical help immediately if:
- Difficulty breathing, chest pain, fainting
- Large areas are stung
- Stung in sensitive areas (eyes, mouth, private parts)
- Severe pain or allergic reactions
❌ Do NOT do these:
- ❌ Do not rub the sting with sand or towels.
- ❌ Do not use fresh water, alcohol, or ammonia.
- ❌ Do not urinate on the sting.
- ❌ Do not apply ice packs directly.
