Brief Description (Abstract):

Collection of sediment core from lakes of Larsemann Hills, East Antarctica

Status: Ongoing

Purpose: To reconstruct the Late Quaternary paleoenvironmental changes in East Antarctica. The study would be made on sediment cores using a multi-proxy approach. Techniques like environmental magnetism, sedimentology, micropaleontology, geochemistry, geochronology etc. would be made on these cores to attain the objectives.
