Short (~1 m) cores of snow provides snow accumulated for more than a year, facilitating the study of annual flux of annual flux of material and chemical flux accumulated in the supra-glacial environments. Snow cores were collected from coastal to inland transect of Amery shelf, Ingrid Christensen Coast (Larsemann Hills) and of coastal Dronning Maud Land (Maitri) during various Indian scientific expeditions to Antarctica. Data include annual accumulation rate, glacio chemical concentrations (tracemetals and major ions), dust and micro-biological components. Parameters analysed: Oxygen isotopes and Hydrogen isotopes, Major ions (F-,Cl-,Br-, MSA, NO3-,SO42-,Na+,K+,Ca2+, Mg2+,NH4+), Trace metals, Dust concentration The aim of the database is to improve the accessibility of the data to researchers, scientific administration and policy makers.
