EIL provided its services in reviewing Wastewater Management at Maitri, the permanent Indian Research Station in Antarctica. The work carried out by Environment Division of EIL for the study Wastewater Management at Maitri is covered here. In order to carry out the study, a 10 point methodology has been adopted covering various aspects such as collecting front-end information, review of design data, obtaining operating and site specific information and their analysis to arrive at final conclusions and recommendations. Site work was initiated with collection of all available data/information with respect to existing wastewater management facilities.
