Brief Description (Abstract):

Arctic is characterized by its unique geographical location and climatic condition. Despite the extreme of climate life exist in Arctic because of its novel biochemical adaptations. These adaptations in Arctic may provide useful compounds such as cold-tolerant enzymes and other biomolecules. Since a fragmentary studies of the true microbial diversity in natural environments has been observed and even less has been cultivated, therefore; there is need of assess the use of cultivation; versus molecular methods to describe the biodiversity, adaptation strategy and biotechnological potentials of microbes of terrestrial habitats of Arctic.

Purpose: To access the biodiversity and to understand the adaptation strategy of plants and microbes.
