Brief Description (Abstract):

As a part of the High Altitude Cloud Physics Laboratory project, the Spectrometer Ice Nuclei (SPIN) has deployed at Mahabaleshwar, a remote location in the complex terrain of the Western Ghats (WG) to study the aerosol that can act as ice nuclei. The Spectrometer Ice Nuclei (SPIN) continuously provides the individual particle sizing and discrimination of ice and water particles using polarization change in the scattered light

Purpose: To study the atmospheric ice nuclei concentration.
