Brief Description (Abstract):

As a part of the High Altitude Cloud Physics Laboratory project, the Parsivel Disdrometer has deployed at Mahabaleshwar, a remote location in the complex terrain of the Western Ghats (WG) to understand the rainfall and size distribution. The Parsivel(Laser Optical) Disdrometer continuously provides the measurement of Rain Accumulation,Rain Rate, Drop Size Distribution andfall velocity.

Status: Ongoing

Purpose: To study the rainfall and size distribution.
