Estimation of sediments for desiltation of Mangalam Reservoir, Palakkad, Kerala

Brief Description (Abstract):

The study has been undertaken in order to understand the implication of siltation in the reservoir. A total of 386 core samples were collected during the pre-monsoon period at regular interval. An attempt has made to quantify the percentage of loose sand deposit in the reservoir. The geochemical and mineralogical studies was done to find out the provenance.
