Brief Description (Abstract):

National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR) invited Engineers India Limited (EIL) to associate and participate in the 23rd Indian Antarctic Expedition (XXIIIIAE) for studying the structural adequacy of the Maitri Station that now has over-lived its 10-year design life by 4 years.

Status: Completed

Purpose: Though the work earned out was out of logistic requirements for up keeping of the Maitri, it has got significant importance primarily to sustain the Indian Antarctic research bases besides utilizing the study results for all future Antarctic operations.
