Brief Description (Abstract):

Thirteen species of sea birds and five species of marine mammals observed in the Antarctic and the sub antarctic region are reported. Notes on occurrence, abundance, zoogeographic distribution and behaviour have been briefly mentioned.

Status: Completed

Purpose: During the First Indian Antarctic Expedition of 1981-82, observations on sea birds and marine mammals encountered between the subtropical convergence and the Antarctic landmass.
