Fossil evidence for continental drift

This reconstruction of Gondwanaland is based on the modern archaeological findings of various fossils. Cynognathus is an approximately 3 m long land reptile of the Triassic period (about 225 million years before present). Lystrosaurus is a land reptile from the same period. Mesosaurs was a freshwater reptile. Fossils of the plant Glosopteris are found in all southern continents and in India.
