This English pocket globe of the mid-18th century was made by Nathaniel Hill in London. Hill's business card showed more than 30 mathematical and other instruments produced in his workshop, as well as "New and Correct Globess" of 3 - 15 inches in diameter.
Judging from the number that survived into today this pocket globe of 7 cm diameter must have been extremely popular. The inside of its carrying case contains a celestial chart.
