Long-term mean currents at four locations on
the shelf of the Middle Atlantic Bight, observed over at least a year during
1972 - 1978. Numbers next to vectors give measurement depth,
rectangles give standard deviations. Two mean wind-stress
vectors are also shown. The black line is the shelf edge (200 m isobath).
