Exercise 8: Outflow of Mediterranean Water into the Atlantic Ocean.

This page allows you to study the data from the various stations. To see data from a station you click on the station in the map. The data are then displayed in the central data window and also transferred to the graph. Use the STATION GRAPH button to transfer the data as temperature and salinity against depth; use the TS-DIAGRAM button to transfer them as temperature against salinity. Press the GRAPH button to plot the data. Press RESET before plotting another station.

You use the graph to identify features of interest and then compare the data listing to find the actual salinity and temperature values that correspond to the feature. Scroll down to bring the entire data window and graphing area into view.
